Years ago, when I worked in retail in a Photo lab, we offered photo block gifts all year around and just before the pandemic shut us down, they became a bestseller for us. Surprisingly, they were most popular among pet owners, especially when they wanted a way to remember their pet after they’d passed away. I remember putting a block together for someone’s labrador who had died after being in their family for seventeen years. The block went up on their mantelpiece beside the dog’s ashes as a way to remember him. When you think about it, it’s quite a beautiful way to memorialize someone like that.
